Qualys Cloud Platform 2.8 (PM) API notification 1

A new release of Qualys Cloud Platform 2.8 (Patch Mgt) includes updated APIs which is targeted for release in January 2024. The specific day will differ depending on the platform. See platform release dates on the Qualys Status page. This API notification provides an early preview into the coming API, allowing you to identify use cases that can leverage this updated API.

What’s New
Updated API – Create a Deployment Job

With this release, we introduced an “Installer Based” install method from the UI and API.

Updated API – Update Deployment Jobs
/pm/v1/deploymentjob/update/{deploymentJobId}
With this release, we introduced an “Installer Based” install method from the UI and API.

New API – Get Fixed Vulnerabilities List
/pm/v1/deploymentjobresults/successfullyFixedQids
With this release, we introduced a new API to fetch the count of successfully installed patches and successfully fixed vulnerabilities. Before this release, you were able to see these details using the widget from the Patch Management UI.

Updated APIs – Deployment Job APIs
/pm/v1/deploymentjob
With this release, while creating the Windows Deployment job, you can randomize patches download within the agents. This results in randomizing the patches download on the asset level to optimize the network bandwidth utilization for a defined job across multiple assets.
