Qualys Cloud Platform 3.6 (EDR) API Notification 1

Prabhas Gupte

A new release of Qualys Cloud Platform 3.6 (EDR) includes new and deprecated APIs, which is targeted for release in December 2024. The specific day will differ depending on the platform. See platform release dates on the Qualys Status page. This API notification provides an early preview into the coming API changes, allowing you to identify use cases that can leverage this updated API.

What’s New?

From this release, the existing endpoint for the Fetch Remediation Event Details API has been deprecated and replaced with a new API endpoint.

API Deprecation – Advance Intimation: Fetch Remediation Event Details API

Deprecated API endpoint: GET /ioc/remediation-actions/{remediationId}

New API endpoint: GET /ioc/remediation-actions/{requestType}/{remediationId}

From this release, we are deprecating the above-mentioned API. It will no longer be supported or accessible after 31 December 2024. The new API enhances performance by retrieving remediation details directly from Oracle instead of Elasticsearch. This modification guarantees faster and more reliable data access, improving user experience.

Customers using the old API endpoint will no longer receive data or responses. Continuing to use the old API may cause integrations, scripts, or automation to fail. Customers must switch to the new API endpoint to access remediation details. They must update their code or integrations to align with the latest API structure.
