Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform (VMDR OT Release 1.2.1) API Notification
A new release of Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform (VMDR OT Release 1.2.1 API), which is released in June 2025, includes updates to existing APIs. This API notification highlights recently released changes, enabling you to identify use cases that can benefit from the updated APIs.
What’s New?
Qualys is introducing versioning support for APIs in the VMDR OT application. For more information on API versioning, refer to the Introducing API Versioning: A Strategic Upgrade for Enhanced Stability and Control for API Integrations blog.
VMDR OT API Versioning Support
We have updated the versioning for our VMDR OT APIs from v1 to version 1.0. To align with versioning standards, all existing v1 VMDR OT APIs are now scheduled End-of-Support (July – Dec 2025) and End-of-Life (January 2026).
The following APIs are impacted due to versioning:
GET /ot/v1/host/list
GET /ot/v1/detection/list
GET /ot/v1/projectfile/list
Support for Auth ID Client Management from VMDR OT User Interface
In this release, we have extended our support for OpenID Connect Authentication Client Management capabilities from the VMDR OT user interface. You can now generate a client ID and secret key, which can be used to fetch a JSON Web Token (JWT) for authenticating API requests and ensuring secure access.
