Qualys Policy Audit (Release 1.16) API Notification

A new release of Qualys Policy Audit (PA Release 1.16), which is released in September 2026, includes an update to an existing API. This API notification highlights recently released changes, enabling you to identify use cases that can benefit from the updated API.

What’s New?

Update and Delete Report Template APIs 

PUT, DELETE  /pcrs/1.0/report/template/, /pcrs/1.0/report/template/{id} 

DTD or XSD changes: Not Applicable 

In the previous release, we introduced the Report Template APIs that let you list, retrieve, and create compliance report templates. With this release, you can also update and delete report templates using the Report Template APIs. 

• Update Report Template API – PUT /pcrs/1.0/report/template/ – Updates an existing policy, scorecard, mandate, or STIG-based report template. The template type cannot be changed when updating a report template. 

• Delete Report Template API – DELETE /pcrs/1.0/report/template/{id} – Deletes a report template by ID. You can delete a single template or multiple templates using comma-separated IDs.
