A new release of the Qualys Cloud Platform (AssetView 2.13, Cloud Agent Platform 1.4.4) includes several new features for AssetView and Cloud Agent, and introduces our newest capability to the Qualys product family, ThreatPROTECT.

Highlights

Qualys ThreatPROTECT – Qualys is introducing ThreatPROTECT in this release of the Qualys Cloud Platform. ThreatPROTECT is a cloud-based solution that provides active threat intelligence information and correlates feeds from multiple external sources with your vulnerability data. ThreatPROTECT enables you to discover and prioritize the remediation of vulnerabilities that pose the greatest risk to your organization. This new optional module is tightly integrated with the platform and includes improvements to AssetView’s dashboards and search capabilities. Get more information on ThreatPROTECT.

AssetView – Several new features have been implemented in the Qualys AssetView module to support Qualys ThreatPROTECT.

  • Help tips in the search bar have been significantly improved providing details about the available search fields, operators, and search criteria.
  • A new Dashboard and Widget Library is now available, with prebuilt sample dashboard and widget templates. You can also save customized dashboards and widgets as templates to share with other users.
  • The Count Widget has been enhanced to provide additional formatting capabilities including customized threshold-based colors, comparison operations against other queries, and the ability to define various click-through options.
  • Dashboard level filters have been added allowing you to select one or more tags. This allows you to filter ALL the widgets on a dashboard page to narrow in on business units or other subsets of your assets without having to customize the queries in each widget on your dashboard.

Cloud Agent – This release of the Qualys Cloud Platform introduces the initial beta of our Cloud Agent for MacOS 10.10 and later. This release provides coverage for general inventory features as well as Vulnerability Management. Support for Policy Compliance will be available soon in an upcoming release.

Platform – Improvements have been made to the EC2 connector to allow scanning smaller (t1, t2, m1) instance types where allowed by Amazon scan policy.

Platform release dates will be published on the Qualys Status page when available.
