Qualys Cloud Suite 8.10.1 New Features

This new patch release of the Qualys Cloud Suite, version 8.10.1, includes updates to password management, user roles & permissions, and User Defined Control improvements in Qualys Policy Compliance (PC).

Feature Highlights

Qualys Cloud Platform

• Platform Password Improvements – In this release, we have added support for longer passwords, parity in password complexity enforcement for all password change workflows, and improved password tip functionality.
• Users & Permissions – Managers can now further constrain visibility of users to be able to see only within a business unit. We’ve added extended permissions for the scanner role allowing users with that role to Manage Virtual Scanner Appliances and Create/Edit Authentication Records/Vault Records

Qualys Policy Compliance

• MacOS X 10.12 UDC Support – The UNIX/LINUX UDC’s have been extended to support MacOS X 10.12.
• File Integrity Monitoring UDC – You can now leverage a per-asset snapshot-based approach to set the expected value for a given file hash with the File Integrity Monitoring UDC.  This enables you to have slightly different hash values on different assets and removes the need to update hash values in the UDC definition or policy as the file changes are confirmed to be valid.  After each scan, the snapshot will be updated when the required option-profile option is set to update FIM snapshots.
