Qualys WAS Engine 8.21 Released

Qualys Web Application Scanning Engine 8.21 has been released to all Qualys platforms including private cloud platforms. This release is part of our ongoing effort to continuously improve the scanning engine in Qualys Web Application Scanning.

This update includes the following changes:

• New functionality to suggest using selenium authentication instead of standard form authentication records in cases where a login page is not identified (reported in QID 150454)
• Re-authentication improvements to accurately identify authentication loss
• Resolved issue with extra slashes in URI resulting in retest errors for a few specific QIDs
• Removed auto-extraction of path fuzzing rules to improve scan betterment suggestions in QID 150454
