Qualys Cloud Platform 2.2 (Connector) API Notification 1

A new release of Qualys Cloud Platform 2.2 (Connector) includes updated APIs which is targeted for release in March 2024. The specific day will differ depending on the platform. See platform release dates on the  Qualys Status page. This API notification provides an early preview into the coming API, allowing you to identify use cases that can leverage this updated API. 

What’s New? 

Added Support for Activating Vulnerability Scanning on GCP Instances 

With this release, you can create GCP Connectors to discover GCP VM Instances in the Cloud Asset Inventory. To achieve this, you can provide “AI” as the value in the set.ConnectorAppInfo parameter to create GCP connectors for Asset Inventory. The Asset Inventory support also comes with two new parameters for GCP connector, Activation, and defaultTags. 

The Activation parameter enables VM scanning on the discovered GCP VM instances for the selected applications (VM, PC, or SCA). 

This feature is delivered as part of Connector 2.2 but it will only be ready to use after Qualys Cloud Platform 10.26.1.0 and Qualys Cloud Platform 3.18.0.0 are available.
